I recently stayed at Misty Meadows, Fikkalay Gaon for 3 nights from 9th to 11th Oct '22. It was the first time I experienced the ambience of a homestay. It was a fantastic 3 day escape to the quaint mountains away from the hustle of the city. The rooms here are spotlessly clean and efforts are maintained to notice every tiny detail for comfortable stay. Mr. Subhendu Adhikari and his team are excellent hosts who made us feel like we had come to a second home! They took great care of us with amazing hospitality. The food comprised primarily of tasty Bengali food and it was different each day. Special mention must be made of the fried rice and chilli chicken which was delicious. Overall, I would greatly recommend Misty Meadows Homestay if one is looking for a comfortable, safe and highly enjoyable escapade to the quiet mountains, which assures a mind-blowing view of the Kanchenjunga (if the weather permits)!
